Alternative Luggage Storage in Lima
Even if Stasher doesn’t work for you, there are some alternatives to try. You can try the left luggage offices at the local airport, or certain residencies, as well as other luggage storage services available. Always be careful and prepared for last-minute changes.
Lima Airport
The Left Luggage facilities at the Lima airport are located in the International Arrivals public area on the ground floor. The offices are open 24/7 and cost S39 per day, S6.50 per hour and piece of luggage.
Oversized items are charged depending on dimensions, but there are also private lockers available for smaller items. The rates are S12 per hour for everything you can fit in the lockers, sizing up to 45 cm (wide) x 60 cm (long) x 75 cm (high).
Note that only cash payments are accepted, either in Peruvian Soles or US Dollars.
Luggage Storage at Residences and Hotels
You can always leave your bags with the hotels or AirBnBs you are staying at; however, this option comes with certain restrictions, as hotels might be able to store your luggage for just a few hours. Expect charging, or at least tipping the staff.
Luggage Storage at Museums
There is a plethora of museums, art galleries and historcal buildings around Lima, such as Museo Larco, Museo MATE, Museo de Arte de Lima, etc. These establishments usually feature cloakrooms and lockers available on the premises, so if you’re planning on browsing around the area, you can try leaving your luggage there.
However, you need to be careful: museums usually close down early in the day, and their available space is quite limited ―so it’s best for leaving a small carry-on, or a backpack.
